Stephen M. Balven

Stephen M. Balven, 67 , of Washington, passed away on September 28, 2021. Mr. Balven, son of the late Russel Balven and his wife Jean nee Guidorzi, was born on April 10, 1954 in St. Louis. He received his education from the University of Missouri, with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism. On May 18, 1974, he was united in marriage to Nancy Gerling at the St. Peter’s Church in Washington.

Mr. Balven was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Heather Balven.

Among his survivors are his wife Nancy Balven of Washington; two sons, Matt Balven from Phoenix, AZ and John Balven of St. Louis; brother, Mark Balven and wife Lyn of Barnhart, MO; grandchildren, Jack, Angel, and Hazel Balven; other relatives and friends.

A celebration of life for will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 4-7 P.M. at the Rennick Riverfront Pavilion.
