Mary A. Oberhaus

Mary A. Oberhaus , 88 , of Washington, passed away on April 1, 2021. Mrs. Oberhaus, daughter of the late George H. Ohlendorf and his wife Mary NEE Wilson, was born on November 23, 1932 in Boonville. She received her education from Washington High School. On August 26, 1950, she was united in marriage to Bernell Oberhaus. Before retirement, Mary was employed by the Washington School District in the accounting dept.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bernell Oberhaus; son, Greg Oberhaus, and three siblings, Tom Ohlendorf, Vera Yoest, and Georgia Ohlendorf.

Among her survivors are two daughters, Donna Scantlan and husband Larry of Wentzville and Colette Jackson of Florida; six grandchildren, Rachel Damschroeder and husband Kevin, Erica Shepherd and husband Matt, Joshua Hoeing and wife Sara, Tominika Jackson and husband Andy Rogers, Mystii Young and husband Dave, and Nashon Jackson and wife Jennifer; twelve great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Chris Ohlendorf; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 3-5 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 5 P.M. Interment will be in the St. Peter’s Cemetery in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society or the City of Washington-Parks and Recreation Dept.
