Hilma C. Baker, 84 , of Washington, passed away on March 1, 2022. Mrs. Baker, daughter of the late Harry Boyster and Olive nee Gibson, was born on April 6, 1937 in Cuba, MO. She received her education from St. Clair High School. On March 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Dayle Baker in St. Clair.
Mrs. Baker worked in the banking industry for over 25 years. She also was active in her church, serving as a youth girls Sunday school teacher. After her retirement, her and Dayle volunteered in various roles at the Crossing Church. Hilma enjoyed baking chocolate chip cookies, celebrating her family’s birthdays, and traveling with family and friends. But most of all, she loved the gatherings with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Dorothy Parke, Margaret Ann Clark, Elizabeth ‘Frances” Jenkins, Arnold Boyster, and Harry Boyster Jr.
Among her survivors are two children, Cindy Fall and husband Steve and Michael Baker and wife Becky; sister, Ruby Vogt; grandchildren, Ryan Fall and wife Shaina, Adam Fall, Amanda Baker, and Elizabeth Baker; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ezra Fall; other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 from 9:30-11 a.m. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Living Water International.
