Gerald Gildehaus Obituary

Gerald C. “Jerry” Gildehaus, 76, of Washington, passed away on September 22, 2019 in New Haven. Jerry was born July 22, 1943, to the late Ike Gildehaus and his wife Noemi NEE Buhr. Jerry and his late wife Oma, were the former owners of Cowan’s Restaurant.

Among his survivors are 7 children, 2 siblings, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many friends at the New Haven Care Center.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. at Nieburg-Vitt,Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at 11 A.M. at Assumption Church in New Haven. Interment will be in the St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the New Haven Care Center Activity Fund.
