Edward Skirvin Obituary

Edward J. Skirvin, 70 , of Washington, passed away on October 27, 2020. Ed, son of the late Clyde Skirvin and his wife Daisy NEE Mayhood, was born February 24, 1950 in Clarksville, MO. On June 28, 1969, he was united in marriage to Mary Lou Shipley at St. Francis Borgia Church.

Ed loved his music, drag racing, fishing, and dancing. He enjoyed watching Demolition Derby’s and spending time with his kids and grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary Lou Skirvin, and son-in-law, Chris Siebert.

Among his survivors are his two children, Melissa A. Siebert of Washington and Shane R. Skirvin and wife Natasha of New Haven; siblings, Linda Thomas and husband Larry of Bloomsdale, Debbie Espowe and husband Chris of St. Clair, Dale Parrett of Warrenton, Joseph Parrett and wife Theresa of Hermann, and Jeffrey Parrett and wife Stacy of Arizona; grandchildren, Jamie Siem and husband Cody, Jacob Riegel and wife Marissa, Micheal Skirvin, Dakota Siebert, Dominic, Chloe, Daniel, and Trevor Skirvin; three great-grandchildren, Carson and Kendall Siem, and Adelynn Riegel; step-father, Carl Parrett; special friend, Bonnie Wisecarver; other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 3-7 P.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 10 A.M. on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery in Washington. Memorial donations can be made to Camp Hope.
