Donald Buhr Obituary

Donald L. “Buck” Buhr ,89, of Washington, passed away on June 22, 2021. Mr. Buhr, son of the late Alfred Buhr and his wife Cecelia nee Lottmann, was born on November 21,1931 in Washington, MO. He received his education from St. Francis Borgia High School.  On January 30,1954 he was united in marriage to Shirley Walde at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, MO. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the VFW 2661 and the American Legion post 218. Donald worked at Chrysler until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Marty Buhr and brother Robert Buhr.

Among his survivors are his wife Shirley Buhr of Washington; daughters Shawna Maune and husband Douglas of Dallas, TX and Kim Barnes and husband Dave of Atlanta, GA; sons, Mitch Buhr and wife Rose of Washington and Bradley Buhr and wife Paulette of Union, MO; sibling, David Buhr and wife Mary of Linn, MO; grandchildren, Mitch Buhr Jr, Derek Buhr, Tiffany Foster, Jacob Buhr, Jennifer Buhr, Lindsey McKay, Laura Barnes, Natalie Barnes, Ryan Maune, and Madison Maune; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday June 25, 2021 from 9-10:30 A.M. at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11 A.M. at St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, with interment in the St Francis Borgia Cemetery.
