Claudette M. Bennick

Claudette Marion Bennick, nee Harwell, age 72, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on May 26, 2023, due to a long illness. She was born January 10, 1951, in St. Louis, Missouri to Claude and Sophie Harwell, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Claudette met the love of her life, Michael Bennick in 1969 and later married on August 1, 1970.

 Family was the most important thing to her, and she loved them deeply. As the mother of two girls; Tonya Boehlein (Chris) of Marthasville, Missouri, and Tamara Williamson (Bryan) of Lake Saint Louis, Missouri. The pride and joy of her life was being the Nanny to her 5 grandchildren, Austin Arlt (Jennifer) of Brodhead, Kentucky, Abigail Boehlein, Michael Boehlein, Timothy Boehlein and Kaitlyn Williamson. Her final accomplishment was being Great Nanny to her great grandson Weston Arlt. 

Claudette is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Sophie Harwell, Sister Wanda Hill and brother-in-law Robert Hill, Sister Irene Eloff and brother-in-law Donald Eloff, Her sister Clara Alene Robinson and brother-in-law David Robinson. Her sister Linda Timmerberg and brother-in-law James Timmerberg and Brother-in-Law Clifford Derrington.

Claudette is survived by her sister, Geraldine Derrington of Wentzville, Missouri and many wonderful nieces and nephews, for whom she loved very much.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 4:00-9:00 pm as well as shortly before the Funeral Services at 9:30 am with Services beginning at 10:30 am at Nieburg-Vitt, Miller Funeral Home, 1206 Jefferson Street, Washington, Missouri 63090. Interment will be at the Presbyterian Cemetery located at 1358 Pottery Road, Washington, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Childrens Hospital of St. Louis.
