Barbara J. (Kincaid) Bullock

Barbara J. Bullock (nee Kincaid), 76, of Washington, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Grandview Healthcare Center. She was born on November 17, 1942, in East St. Louis, Illinois to the late Robert and Mary (nee Janik) Kincaid. After her husband DeWitt Thomas Turner passed away in 1963, she was united in marriage to the late Larry B. Bullock on April 29, 1965, in Cahokia, Illinois. Barbara worked 20 years at Hazel and also enjoyed working as a waitress at Bartholomew’s. She loved helping to care for her grandchildren and would often take them on fast-food runs after school. Being an important part of their after-school routine meant a lot to her and the trips to Dairy Queen and Taco Bell created meaningful and lasting memories for her and them.

A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019, at 11:30 am at Miller Funeral Home. Interment will follow at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 13, from 3 until 7 pm at Miller Funeral Home. Memorial donations are appreciated to Susan G. Komen (Dept. 41831, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265).

Barbara is survived by four children, Robert Turner and wife Bridgett of Washington, Michelle Jones and husband Thomas of Arnold, Deana Niederholtmeyer and Rodney Ashburn of Pleasant Hill, Illinois, and Tracy Horvath and husband Robert of Washington; one sister, Susie Makler and husband Joe of Edwardsville, Illinois; eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one son, Thomas Turner; and one grandson, Michael Jones.
